Brian Gerald Bulger is a singer-songwriter based in the Midwest. We first met him during the No Surprises showcase in Kansas City last December and wanted to sit down for a more formal interview to talk about his life and work, and specifically his new EP and memoir, both titled Thank God I'm Far From Heaven, which are out now. Heartfelt and soulful, this multifaceted project focuses on Bulger's tumultuous upbringing, loss of his two siblings, and his grapple with religion and purpose.
